I purchased 1000 Cactus HD sandbags the first time. We filled most of them with pea gravel as we use them for signs for road construction and pea gravel doesn't freeze solid or hold water in the winter time. We filled a few with sand also. We fill to 50# - 65#. Our sand bags are put to the test. In and out of trucks, on and off trailers. Almost always thrown or dropped. The sand bags are handled over and over and over again. When not handled, they're out in the elements holding signs, barricades, message boards, etc. They have held up extremely well!! Sure, we've had a lot of them ruined, but it was never because of the quality of the sand bag. Usually it's from traffic or equipment running over them. I messed up my second order for another 1000, but they were quick to help me resolve my mistake. I also really like that the President of the company checks in with me to make sure I'm happy with my purchase and includes a picture of himself and his family. A very personal touch!

this is my second time to purchase these. the first set I didnt need 50 so I double bagged them thinking that they wouldn't hold up. I kept them in the back of my truck for winter driving filled with sand. then I liked having the little extra weight in the back so I left them in summer and winter. now, 6 years later, exposed to rain , snow, sleet, hail, sun a few are just now breaking down. for over 6 years! and those that are leaking sand a bit are the ones that got snagged on a board with nails that tugged on the bag. I use them to hold down items in the truck bed too. these are quality!

We bought them to use to protect other bags that kept breaking. We were able to easily modify these to satisfy our needs and they were very durable and lasted through 2.5 months of constant use.

The 2-year sandbags are VERY sturdy and extremely easy to work with. My berms have not had to withstand a deluge yet this year (thank heavens), but they have stood up very dependably to 2 months of torrential downpours and fast-flowing streams and rivulets.

Great quality sandbag at a great price.

I used the sandbags around the perimeter of my in-ground pool to hold winter pool cover in place. They work much better than those expensive water tubes recommended by pool cover manufacturers. In summer I store filled sandbags on pallets.

These bags hold up to the elements very well. We use them on temporary road signs for our bridge projects. Had them out for 3 months on the last project and when we took our signs down they were as good as the day we put them out. Great product at a great price!!

Have not had the time to try then out after I've had them a while . However the bags arrived fast in good shape . I have no doubt they will be just fine as I will fill them with 1/2 bag of pea gravel instead of sand. A great company.

I'm not using these for sand. I have rocks around my outside plants, but I have always wanted to cover the plants with mulch for the winter. I filled the sandbags with mulch and put them on top of the plants. Once winter is over, I will remove and store them, full, until the next winter. I used wood chips. For my use, the bags could be bigger--it takes several to cover a plant. I am anticipating that they will flatten out over time as the wood chips degrade. I used 100 and could probably use twice that, but I'll see how it goes first. They seem very well made and are much more durable than the cheap bags. The olive green color blends well with the landscape.

These are thicker and more durable than most sand bags, and they don't break down in sunlight. We have bags that last two years outside.

This is my third set of 100 sandbags. We use them in Lake Michigan to protect from the rising lake. They are all still together in shape after half a year. Other bags that you were used were just shredded to bits.

The bags are used to protect beach eroding.The ties are strong and secure very good.

On time quick delivery. Has 50 bags filled with leftover sand from golf course & placed alongside area needed. Look fine and expect to do job needed.

THard working sandbags. They take lots of moving around and are still pretty intack. Had a little trouble with the strings coming untied but all in all nice and sturdy, easy to fill.

This is the 2nd time I've purchased these bags and they are by far the best quality you can get. I had previously purchased bags from another company, but they deteriorated with in 1 years time. These are quality construction and have last 3 years now without noticeable breakdown. They are slightly smaller than the previous manufacturers bags but it only means that they are easier to handle and weigh slightly less than the other bags. I would highly recommend these bags plus I'm thankful to be supporting our Veterans and troops!

This may not seem like a glamour project, but when you need them, nothing is more important. This company and the quality and long-life of the product exceeded anything we had ever experienced. I may seem too enthusiastic, but when you have an emergency cliff erosion problem, this means a lot. The quick delivery kept us safe.

Love the bags. Nice and sturdy. Well constructed. Can't beat free shipping either. We use these on the farm to hold down ag fabric in the cooler seasons. The last sandbags we got from the local hardware retailer said they were uv treated, but broke down in a matter of months. So we just put them right inside of these and they just are so much better. They are even thicker than the landscape fabric we use in our walkways and paths between rows and that stuff is a 5 year fabric. I have a feeling these sandbags should last more than two years.
